Bretman Rock is pulling back the curtain on his romantic life
The internet personality broke up with Justice Fester in August, roughly a year after they debuted their relationship online

Bretman Rock is back on the market.
In August, the 27-year-old influencer revealed that he and his boyfriend Justice Fester, 28, were going their separate ways roughly a year after debuting their relationship online. But in a recent interview with PEOPLE, four months after the split, Rock says that he’s dating again.
“I feel like June me and December me are two different people — I feel like I’ve stepped into a new life,” says Rock. “In June, I had a man. I was very much in a different time in my life. And now I’m in a very different headspace.”
Rock first shared that he and Fester had broken up in a post to his Instagram Stories on Aug. 4, telling his followers that the video was “extremely hard for me to make.”
“Since a lot of you guys have been asking in the comments and DMs where Justice is, I just wanted to quickly address that we are no longer together,” he said at the time. “It was a mutual breakup — it was amicable. And there’s one thing that I want to get out of the way: We are still friends. We still have love for each other.”

Fast forward four months, and Rock is ready for love again.
“She is dating,” he tells PEOPLE. “You know, it is cuddle season. I’m just a little squirrel at the end of the day looking for a treat — a nut if you will.”
Outside of his romantic life, Rock is concluding another standout year on social media, which included a win for video of the year at the inaugural U.S. TikTok Awards on Dec. 18. The video in question? A seven-second clip of Rock strutting across his lawn, followed by several of his chickens soundtracked to Doechii’s hit track “Anxiety,” which received over 9 million likes.
The content creator first got his start online in 2014, sharing comedic videos on the now-defunct video-sharing platform Vine, where he would regularly go viral for his particular brand of humor and snark.
Rock has since grown his online platform into a social media empire: across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, he maintains a following of over 47 million, and his videos regularly amass hundreds of thousands of likes. Where he differs from many of his peers online, however, is that he tries to avoid the influencer capital of the world — Los Angeles — at all costs.

“I don’t relate to a lot of them,” he says of other L.A.-based influencers. “It’s a lot of talking s---.”
These days, Rock spends as much time as he can at his villa in Hawaii, where he lives a simple life, waking up at 6:30 a.m. with the sun, feeding his six dogs and dozens of chickens, hitting the gym and the sauna, and filming a few TikToks all before most of California has even gotten out of bed.
“I literally live such a boring lifestyle on paper,” he tells PEOPLE. “I think a lot of people think I’m a night person because a lot of us influencer girlies love going out to parties and stuff — but not me, girl.”
